Ladies Rock n' Roll Bootcamp Comes to Brooklyn!

Have you ever wanted to start your own girl band? Or have you dreamed of playing in a band but haven't picked up an instrument since high school? Or maybe you've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument but have never been given a chance to start?

Well ladies, you are in luck! This summer in Brooklyn there is a unique opportunity to meet women from all walks of life and all levels of musical experience in a collaborative weekend that will change your life, let you rock out, have fun, and support a good cause. Ladies Rock Camp is a one-of-a-kind three day musical adventure and no musical experience is necessary. When you sign up, you choose an instrument (which will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own) and learn from experienced female musicians in small group classes. You will work with a band throughout the weekend to do some songwriting and practice playing with a group. Workshops will be held on all sorts of topics ranging from marketing to band art. There will also be lunchtime performances from guest pros who will hold Q&A sessions so you can learn from the best. At the end of the fun-filled weekend, there will be a showcase concert at a professional music venue where you can invite friends and family to watch you tear up the stage!

There are two sessions to choose from, Session I: Friday July 24th - Sunday July 26th and Session II: Friday August 7th - Sunday August 9th. The camp will be held at the Urban Assembly School of Music and Art in Downtown Brooklyn. Ladies Rock Camp is $500 for the weekend and all proceeds go to the Financial Aid Fund of Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls which allows young women from low-income households to attend the girls' summer camp at low or no cost. Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls welcomes campers who identify as female, trans, and gender non-conforming.

Boost your self-esteem, improve your chops, meet new friends, live out your rock star fantasy and learn something new, all the while helping fund an amazing foundation that gives young girls license to rock. Bass, drums, vocals, guitar. . . . . what will you choose? For more information and to register click HERE. Let's Rock!
